A management game that explains coworking by letting you run one.
What is Theme Coworking?
Theme Coworking is a free, browser-based strategy and management game about building a coworking space that works financially and feels good to belong to.
You design rooms, place furniture, hire and train staff, choose services, set membership prices, run marketing, host events, manage cash flow, and respond to the daily surprises of a shared workplace. Members have different needs. Furniture wears out. Reputation follows real experience. The coffee machine is never just a coffee machine.
The game turns the invisible work of coworking — hospitality, operations, community building, pricing, design, technology, and conflict resolution — into systems players can understand by making choices and seeing consequences.
Who made it?
Theme Coworking was created by Dimitar Inchev, also known as @idmtr, co-founder of Coworkies. It was developed as an experiment under Coworkies Labs, with coworking knowledge informed by TwoFifty, the coworking consultancy co-founded by Dimitar Inchev and Pauline Roussel.
The result sits somewhere between an indie game, an educational model, an industry love letter, and a practical conversation starter.

Community, member experience, flexible workspace operations, events, shared services, and unit economics are core mechanics rather than decoration.
Learn through consequences
Pricing too aggressively, ignoring maintenance, underinvesting in staff, or chasing leads without retention all produce understandable trade-offs.
Built for the browser
No download is required. The game runs directly in a modern browser and can be played offline without an account; optional accounts enable cloud saves.
Indie by design
The isometric world and most game art are drawn procedurally on Canvas, while sound is synthesized with WebAudio.
